J-NOTT-GTT visits WFU and Northside Lanes

April 22, 2023 - J-NOTT-GTT made a couple stops in Winston-Salem, NC at the end of April, first to speak with students on Wake Forest University’s campus, and then to visit with the staff at Northside Lanes bowling alley.

On campus, Junius and Sharon Nottingham were joined by Brad Beauregard and Wake Forest Professor Frank Robinson to speak with students outside of the main dining hall, The Pit, about Jeremy and Lynch Syndrome. They handed out brochures and gave away t-shirts and bottles provided by Gatorade. They were able to talk about the wonderful time Jeremy had at Wake, and also how much he would want them to know about the risk factors of Lynch Syndrome, as early detection of cancers caused by Lynch Syndrome is the best chance of saving lives.

After that, they were able to visit Northside Lanes, the bowling alley where Jeremy and his friends went every Tuesday night to bowl while students at Wake. They remembered Jeremy when he was a student, and J-NOTT-GTT looks forward to hosting a bowl-a-thon in Jeremy’s honor this coming Fall.
